Is  Coaching Right  for  Me?

Coaching is not for everyone. If you are ready for change and open to trying new things then it could be perfect for you. For a successful coaching experience, you are:

  1. Seeking to improve productivity and/or well-being
  2. Highly motivated to do the work (invest thought, time, energy, and action)
  3. Ready to make the work a priority
  4. Coachable. This includes having a curious, open, positive mindset, a willingness to self-reflect and a readiness to seek and listen to feedback.

We will get clear on where you are, develop a plan, and dance through it to get you to where you want to be. Why dance? Because we will be moving together. There will be moments of elation and moments of discomfort, where the real growth lies. Keep moving through and you’ll come out the other side, richer in knowledge and confidence in what to do. If you want to fast-track your way to long-lasting results, 1:1 coaching is for you. You'll receive focused, individual attention to help identify challenges and customize solutions. Though it is a greater investment past clients will tell you there is a significant ROI.

If you want individual attention and also want to be part of a supportive community, then group coaching is for you. It's also perfect for a team you'd like to develop. The investment per person is significantly lower making the experience more accessible. Group coaching will be available intermittently throughout the year.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Since much of life is inter-related, an extended period of time means we can explore the elements that are affecting your ability to be productive and to cultivate the greatest joy in what you do. Having more time means not only can we dig into more critical elements in greater depth, we have the opportunity to make gradual changes, experiment, and find out what really works. As life evolves, it allows us to address potential new challenges as well. Most people find a six-month commitment provides the richest results.

Coaching packages start from $3,500 USD (plus applicable taxes). The investment depends upon the duration and intensity of work together.  Intensive laser coaching is also possible for quick and powerful results.

You’ve identified challenges to being most productive and want to explore solutions you can implement in the short term. Working together over about twelve weeks, we will go over the foundations in marrying productivity, pleasure and performance, and explore the issues most important to you. author, speaker, and advocate for humanity, Joe Mull, CSP, M.Ed. joined me on the Happy Space Podcast and shared these wise words:

🙂 Clare: in 2001 I was working in a telecom company and my team was in three different cities. I was in the fourth city, and I came up with the idea, I think we need an intranet. We need an internet where we can share personal information. so now I can know more about Joe because then I’m going to care and it’s almost like you’re building this under this fuller understanding of someone so you actually care about them first as a human, and then you’ll support them as a colleague. 

📣 Joe: and this is something that has been studied for years. social science researchers call it distance, right? the distance that we have from someone influences the degree to which we will modulate our behaviour in their presence and the degree to which we are willing to be forgiving of them, right? if you think about comments on a facebook post or your local online newspaper, when we don’t know anyone, there are no consequences for showing up as the worst version of ourselves. but when you start to connect with people and you find those things in common, you’re actually creating an environment where you care a little bit more too about how that person sees you. and it doesn’t have to be really complex things. It doesn’t have to be sophisticated team retreats. even just giving people a chance to work together on something for 10 minutes can be a game changer in terms of those relationships.

🙂 Clare: it’s small, but intentional actions to build that understanding of each other as people.

✨ “when you create an environment where people experience trust, when you create an environment where people get their ideal job doing meaningful work for a great boss, you dramatically lower the chances that you’re going to trigger active disengagement in a person.” 

🔥 “you’ve got to almost trust first in order to eventually get to a place where your organization cultivates that higher level of commitment and integrity among people. they maybe need to have a little bit of faith in people and you know, are you going to get burned every once in a while? probably…”

😃 “but people generally do a great job when they believe they have a great job. people tend to treat their employers well when their employers treat them well. And if we can operate that from that basic system, if we can ask ourselves what would make this place the very best place to be a blank, you know, whoever it is you’re employing, that actually starts you down the path of solving the right problems.”
